Public Relations Chair
Public Relations Chair
From January 2024 to January 2025, I was elected as the public relations chair for Delta Zeta sorority. This involved utilizing Instagram and TikTok to plan biweekly social posts highlighting UVA Delta Zeta's 200+ members, philanthropy and social events, and announcements. I also was tasked to manage and facilitate public relations and brand collaboration efforts from local and national companies, including popular brands like Poppi and Celsius.
In my time as PR chair, I was able to increase Instagram impressions by 25%, and increased the follower count by 500. I also established a cohesive theme for our feed and a new system for posting consistent content like member birthdays using Excel and Monday.com, a cloud based project management platform.

Event Flyers Advertising Philanthropy Fundraisers
Multiple Mockups, Various Colorways
In consultation with our philanthropy chair, I created flyers using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to advertise UVA Delta Zeta's various philanthropy events. Proceeds support our national philanthropy, Starkey Hearing Foundation. My designs were prototyped using opinion polling, a given color pallet, and various inspiration. I completed a competitor analysis of various greek life organizations and researched visual trends to create a compelling graphic for social media and website use as well as for print media such as flyers and handouts.
I reached out to local and national brands to coordinate collaborations, providing free social media promotion in exchange for products and services.
Brand Collaborations
Social posts uploaded two or three times a week. I considered key events or holidays, demand, and polish when making posts. I always made sure to post a variety of ages and faces. Pictures were uploaded by members using the app PhotoCircle, then chosen and curated into posts by me. All photos were edited in LightRoom and Photoshop, with captions written by me. For features such as our weekly WhyDZWednesday, I used Microsoft Forms to collect information, coordinate communication, and plan at least a month ahead.
